About Me
I began my organizing business in 1999, and am a member of:
- National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO)
- NAPO-San Diego: Secretary (2006-2008); Greeter Table (2015 to present)
- NAPO Golden Circle
- Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD)
- Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI)
I hold a BA in Classics from Boston University, an MLS in Library Science from Simmons College, an Elementary Teaching Credential from California State University, Chico, and the designation of CPO®, Certified Professional Organizer, from the Board of Certification for Professional Organizers. I’ve earned a Foundation Certificate of Study in both Chronic Disorganization and Basic Hoarding Issues with the CD Client from the Institute for Challenging Disorganization, and have had specialized training in Estate Organization with Jeannie Smith of Exit Stage Right in Palo Alto. I am licensed, bonded and insured.
I’ve worn many hats:
- Credentialed Reference and Children’s Librarian
- Credentialed teacher in regular, special education, adult education, and ESL classes
- Teaching Homemaker for the welfare department
- Professional children’s entertainer, face painter and musical clown
- Published children’s writer and poet
- Proofreader/editor
And I’ve served a broad range of clients of all ages:
- Students to seniors
- Families with/without children
- Handicapped and special needs
- Executive functioning issues (CD, ADHD, TBI, Asperger’s, hoarding, etc.)
- Young adults leaving home for the first time
- Empty nesters
