I’ve worked as an administrator at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, as the Director of Executive Education and Operations, and have had the opportunity to hire and observe dozens of consultants over the past two decades. From this perspective I can confidently say that Risa is truly a master of her work.
She moved to Massachusetts to initially care for and then later organize and settle the estate of her mother. As part of this process, Risa researched and made arrangements for her mother to move from home and transition into an assisted living program. During that period of time, Risa managed the family’s large, 4 bedroom, 8 room Victorian house and arranged for repairs before putting the property up for sale. She evaluated antiques, divided up the family property, acted as a fiduciary paying all the bills and kept up with outstanding accounts. Risa organized all the family records and papers and when her mother passed away she managed the funeral arrangements, acted as an executrix for the estate and as the liaison to the family lawyer.
Risa is a woman of great integrity and character. She is honest, hard working, tenacious, and extremely dependable. She was particularly sensitive to the needs and concerns of her mother as client and was unafraid to provide the emotional comfort and support necessary while at the same time working with many organizations to resolve the myriad of health and estate issues that arose. Her attention to detail during this process was extraordinary.
Risa is just the person for the job when an estate needs to be processed and family members require both sensitivity and thoroughness. I recommend her highly and without reservation and would be happy to be contacted should you have any further questions.
